Tuscan Ridge Golf Club

Hole #16, par 3, Tuscan Ridge Golf Club, Chico/Paradise, California. Here is a beautiful par 3, down hill hole, with dramatic scenery of the Sacramento Valley from the lava cap ridge above Chico. This was shaped with no outside dirt imported, and built around the existing lava cap rock.

Hyundai Sungwoo Resort

Hole #14, par 4, Hyundai Sungwoo Resort, Gangwondo, Korea. Here is a dramatic par 4 under construction in a mountainous site that sweeps across the side of a sweeping meadow. The fairway is split, with an upper and lower landing, before crossing the meadow back up to a "perched" green sitting into the side of the hill before a forest of pines.
Designer: Robert Trent Jones, II.

Hole #15, par 4, Hyundai Sungwoo Resort, Gangwondo, Korea. This is an example of some completed rock walls for tees, tucked into the side of this mountain.

The Resort at Redhawk

Hole # 5, par 3, The Resort at Red Hawk, Sparks, Nevada. This is a challenging, long par 3 across a lake, with the green sitting right on the water. Shaping, irrigation, and finish work have just been completed, and the green is growing in nicely.

Hole #6, par 4/5, The Resort at Red Hawk, Sparks, Nevada. Built to play as a par 4 or par 5, this challenging hole hangs along the water (on right) from tee to green, with a large, dramatic green perched out in the water on a rock wall, almost like an island green. This a a good example of a rock wall green built before lake level full.

Hole #5, par 3, The Resort at Red Hawk, Sparks, Nevada. This is an example of a green being built after shaping is completed, and before sand is imported. This is the gravel blanket placed on top of the green sub grade after drainage is installed.

Hole #4, par 5, The Resort at Red Hawk, Sparks, Nevada. Here we see a good example of a sand bunker, after shaping, being built. The drainage is installed, and the bunker lining is completed. This is a center of fairway approach bunker, about 40 yards before the green.
